s60 revs

on slowing down I'm experiencing a dip in revs when I slip into neutral. The revs then pick up straigght away to normal. Ayn ideas please?

What year is the car?
Does the car have all the latest software?

car is 2001 2.4t with approx 80,000miles

You could have a dirty throttle body.
You could have a problem with the nuetral control function on the transmission.(That a software upgrade might fix)
