What's the best method to seperate the control arm from the ball joint? I have pickled fork but that doesn't seem to do it? any other suggestions?

What year and model is it?

If it is a newer 850,S70,S40 you have to replace the entire control arm.

I apologize I wasn't clear enough regarding my problem. I have an 01 V40 and I do have the new control arm, but I can't seem to figure out how to seperate the ball joint from the Wheel. I got the two bushings loose, but can't seem to take the other part off.

Try hitting the hub a couple of times with a big hammer carefully.
Don't damage the hub but hit it a couple of times to try to loosen it up.
