Question Should I park or drive my Yellow 850 T-5R

I purchased a Yellow 850 T-5R in April '09. It had 78,000 miles on it. By July I had just over 90,000 miles on it.

The interior of the car is in excellent shape. The exterior of the car is in average shape. Since it was not in "Mint Condition" I decided to enjoy it to the max and drive the thing.

I can put 30,000+ miles on a car in a year and keep it looking real good. I want to know if you fine Volvo folks think I should rack up the miles, or restore the exterior and park the thing?

The exterior had several blemishes on it so I did not think it could ever be worth much more than $6,000 due to the exterior flaws.

I voted to drive it daily. It's a lot of fun and if it were in "Mint Condition" I think I would park it and only drive it to car shows and the like.

I'm assuming you mean park right????? Lulz. I would still drive it. I would slowly restore it and use it as a weekend car. Or something to take a casual drive with. I don't think you should restore it and then never drive it, what's the point of owning it then if the only enjoyment you get is saying good morning and good night to it while it sleeps in the garage.

Cars are made to be driven not parked.

Man, this is a very deep, philosophically and psychologically challenging question.

The yellow T5-Rs are so rare, and it would probably take only 20-30 minutes for someone as skilled as Tech to strip it whilst you're in a grocery store.

When you come out of grocery shopping after 45 minutes or so, being happy that your wife allowed you to buy an extra bag of chips, your heart would probably stop for a split second on the spot (I believe it does stop for a split second anyway?) to see all you're left with is the A/C evaporator that the thief didn't care taking with him/her.

Envy is a threatening thing. With this in mind, I would probably p....no, but I would still want to d....but wait, what if it gets hit....but any car would get hit and that's what the body shop is for, then I would d....no wait, once it gets hit, it would.....so I would then p....

I....am I....no, I'm sorry that I cannot answer this poll

LOL! Man, I know the feeling. The cool thing about driving it is that many people don't know how fast it is, so it's a sleeper. Another fun reason to drive it is that most people that you go by has never seen one before. The sad thing about it that many people that you go by do not know how rare the car is. A fun thing about driving it is that you don't see one next to you at the light just like yours. Almost the same feeling as drive or not to drive...

I still say drive it, buy drive it in moderation. Use it for your weekend car or when you just wanna go cruising.

Wise decisions are usually the result of compromise. Here's my compromise. You park it, I'll drive it. That way you have all the ownership headaches and I have none.

So far it looks like I'm doing the right thing, driving it. Who knows, maybe I'll clean it up a little more and put it in car shows anyway. Someone will look at the dash one day and say, "Dang, this car has 485,000 miles on it? It looks like it's been parked somewhere...". :-)
