Is this smog control station being fair?
My 240 DL volvo recently failed smog test here in Southern California for idling too fast. It idled at around 900-950 rpms, and the tech said had to idle around 750-850.
Some mechs said that wasn't fair, because my 240 is an old car and I should see another smog tech.
Who is correct?

It's California, they're so freaking caught up in the Global Warming hoax that their tests are the most rigorous. Ridiculously and unneedlessly so. I think my '98 S70 idles at 900 rpm too...but I never really look at my RPM's except for when I'm accelerating.
