SRS – Airbag warning
BACKGROUND
The electrical outlet in the cargo bay is out. Was interested in finding if fuse had burnt out. Unable to locate corresponding fuse (reality did not match schematic
), but found another interesting fuse, supposedly controlling ‘courtesy lights,’ which I’ve wanted to snuff out for a while.
Pulled the corresponding fuse out to test. Courtesy lights (for feet) duly went out—along with dash instruments.
Decided I’d snuff out the courtesy lights at the bulb, and plugged fuse back in.
PROBLEM
That is when the ‘SRS – Airbag Service Urgent’ message appeared.
Obvious to me the problem is not truly with the airbag, but with a fuse or electrical jiggery.
QUESTION
Is there a user-friendly fix, or is professional grade rip-off the only means of sentence erasure?
