I have a 2002 XC70 with the standard one CD radio system. The owners manual talks about a subwoofer in the rear and the way they state it, my car "should" have one. But I sure can't find it. Supposed to be in the spare tire area??????? If it's there, I sure don't see it. Was this subwoofer truly an option or not?

 

Inthe v70r, it has the spare upside down andthe subwoofer islaying on top of it. If volvo kept the same design of the sub box, it shouldlook like ablack peice of wood, with a vent for the amp, andit should have a couple wires attached to it. It should cover the spare, so ifyou dont see it you might not have it.

 

It was only an option.

 

I looked back in the spare tire area, and alas, there is no sub there. DARN. I thought that is where it would be but you never know...
