Default Towing trailer question

I have a 2107 Volvo v90 cc with 110K miles. Car has been serviced at requested intervals with exception of transmission fluid and coolant fluid replacement.
I am considering towing an Airstream Basecamp 16 with a weight of 2650lbs and hitch weight of 410 lbs.
I do not have a hitch installed and would need to purchase one. Should I go with Volvo or 3rd party installed and what is a reasonable cost. Also what other maintenance should be performed before towing this camper?
Any advice to thought is appreciated
thanks

I'm not sure your Volvo would be a good choice as a tow vehicle for something that size. (is that 2650lbs dry or does that included the water tanks/propane/food/other stuff?)

Yes, your 2017 V90 CC can tow the Basecamp 16, but you should change the transmission fluid and coolant first since they’re critical for towing reliability. Also check brakes, tires, and suspension. The Volvo OEM hitch offers better integration and trailer stability assist but costs around $1,200–$1,500 installed. A quality 3rd party hitch like Curt will cost $600–$900 installed and works fine if professionally done.

If you are considering an aftermarket hitch like a Curt, check out etrailer.com - they have a lot of good vehicle specific content if you are considering doing your own install. I used them for a hitch for a Highlander and a VW CC and found the instructions very helpful (and the DIY install times are conservative if you have tools and a good place to work).
