Default Turn Signal Issue

I am the proud owner of a 2002 Volvo S60 AWD..the issue is with the turn signals, they wont cancel out when activated. They do on the odd occasion cancel out (both left and right, so not one more or less than the other), 90% of the time i have to manually cancel them. I have changed the turn signal switch, yet the problem still persists.

The car was in a front end collission, I have heard if the alignment is off this could be a source of the problem...

Any thoughts, suggestion....

not sure if your model has a steering angle sensor - if so, check out youtube for vids on how to recalibrate.
