Hi, my 2001 V70D (VW/Audi engine)146000 kms on the clock has just had a total electrical failure & died at the side of the road,all systems shut down apart from cig lighter and radio, even the hazard lights don't work and can't close the windows,I checked all basic connections from battery to engine compartment and get full voltage.

Has anybody had a similar problem.

Car has been transported to Volvo agent to be sorted out.

This is the first Volvo I have owned and the firstcar that has never got me home in 50 years, will it let me down again ?

Why are so many computerised modules fitted to modern cars, they can't improve the cars that muchand are so unreliable even before the car is 8 years old.
