V70 won’t start! Out of ideas.
Hey y’all,
I desperately need help and I’m totally out of ideas. I posted in another forum page, but I’m so desperate, I’m about to send smoke signals.
here’s what happened (condensed)
car on ramps, changed oil, had an emergency, crazy rain for an hour while I was gone. Came back next morning. 2001 v70 T5 won’t start!
Here’s what I did.
Removed coils (holes filled with water), sucked all that out and dried off completely
Changed plugs. Will not start..
Confirmed that I have voltage at battery in rear and positive post inside engine bay.
Confirmed fuel pressure at valve on rail.
Pulled every coil and checked for spark (fwiw the light didn’t seem super bright, but I also confirmed a spark on the engine block: again, it seemed somewhat weak but idk).
Checked cranking voltage, seems fine above 10.
Replaced crankshaft position sensor (in desperation)
Poured some HEET in the tank (desperately)
Tried the lawnmower test with cranking and gas pedal.
One side note: I had been chasing an oil leak down the passenger side of the motor, coming from the top: I think this may have just been a worn out oil cap gasket though.
Please help fellas/ladies, I’m at my wits end here and can’t really afford the dealership/towing route. Very rural here.
what am I missing? Had to be something to do with the rain? On an incline too long?
Thanks all!!!!!

How old is your throttle module?
If you spray starting fluid into the intake does it attempt to fire on any cylinders?
"Tried the lawnmower test with cranking and gas pedal" - that procedure/method/prayer is only valid for cars with hydraulic lifters - you have solid lifters.
