VIDA/DICE memory requirement is wrong
I saw the system requirements for VIDA and decided to buy it. My laptop is running XP Pro SP3 120GB HD and 3GB RAM. Popped in the disc and when it got to the screen "Checking your system", it said I didn't have enough memory. Says it needs 2.74GB RAM. The requirements said "minimum 2GB" I currently have 2.65GB so unless I go in and alter display settings, etc. it's not gonna work. Anyone else come across this?
I ran into the same thing. You have to alter the memory requirement in the .ini file that it's set in. I don't recall all the details, but I think it's setup.ini, and the entry is obvious. Just open the file in wordpad, change the memory requirements to 1800 (at least that's what I used), and re-save the updated file. That fixed that issue for me, at least.
I'm still working on getting the program to run on my XP laptop, but at least I'm getting past the system requirements check.

Yes modify the .ini file OR go into your BIOS and reduce your video share memory size to 256mb or less, looks like yours is set to 512mb.
Or better yet, just upgrade to 4GBs+ and everything works great.
