I originally goofed and posted this question in the new members area and cant seem to remove the title.
I love my old volvo except for the doors .I just discovered the drivers door wont stay closed. It openned while I was driving ,I now have a few more grey hairs. The lock **** will control the other doors locks but not drivers .Also the lock **** doesnt seem to go in as far as before. The key doesn't seem to work either.I have the panel off and there doesnt seem to be anything broken or detatched but I'm really not sure what to look for. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

 

There is likely something broken in the latching mechanism. Have you tried to spray it down real good with WD-40? If that does not work, you will neet to take the latch out and install another one.

You are still in the wrong area with this one. Put it in the 740, 940, 240 area.

I had a '87 740 GLE, it was probably the best car I ever owned.
