Hello Everybody.

Ok ive had my V50 T5 for 6 months now and got to say its the best car ive ever owned.When i purchased the car the cd/climate display was not functioning properly.The thing is everything is working fine but it is just the display itself.The bottom half is like a black strip(Its as if the unit has taken a knock a bit like when you press hard on a calculator screen).I've spoken to breakers and they tell me they are very rare to come by seeing it is for the 6 disk unit and the PCC number has to match.I've even spoken to Volvo & they want £650 for the part as it is sold as a complete unit.

Has anyone on here had the same thing happen to theirs?can you reccommend any breakers/reconditioners to send the part too?
Or is there an aftermarket unit that i can buy in replacement(If anyone has done this any info advise would be great.)

Hope anyone can help with this as it really bugs me this part not working properly as i know it is only for visual purposes.

Thank you very much for the instructions. On my 2007 V50, the fan went off and everyone said the dashboard had to go out. It was enough to do it according to the instructions without the pictures. I have a manual and I don't know why I advise to remove the pedals. I lay my head down and just stretched my arm around the pedal to the fan and turn it. It was enough to take out the box at the passenger's seat, including the navi, then the panel with fuses and unscrew the box. Using the phone, turn on the camera and work light for 10 minutes. Pull out the box, it's a bit like a hedgehog in a cage and then release the fan from the driver and take it out from the passenger if anyone needs advice, write to wazbic7@seznam.cz.
