Hello all.
I'm new to the forums so i have a problem with the above.

I have a V50 T5 and what a monster of a car absolutly love it.The only problem is with the CD display unit.Everything is working as it should be but the bottom half of the display is like a black strip (as if the unit has been hit and the crystals inside are buggered).
to cut a long story short i ordered a unit from a breakers (£160 from a breakers.Volvo wanted £650 :O)being told the part would just click in and work when the part was recieved it didn't work at all .
I have part no's/serial no's etc but does anyone know if the part no's have to match with what i currently have or does any unit from the same year whether its an S40/V50 work or did the unit not work due to something else maybe being faulty with my car?Hope this makes sense and anyone can shed any light on this situation or should i just go and buy an aftermarket unit?
