hey there.

i have a white 1982 volvo 245 diesel wagon with 107,000 original miles. She runs / drives great. The plastic on the dash, and the leather seats all show lots of wear. also, needs a stereo upgrade. all power windows work, power locks, new rear hatch lifters are springy, and two fresh tires. recently had worn ball joint replaced, as well as the rack and pinion. no immediate concerns that i would foresee in going wrong with this gem. i drive it about once a week 75 miles into town (san diego).

i am looking for something that can tow my new trailer, and though this volvo does have a 3,000lbs hitch mounted, i would like something with a bit more power.

i know these are rare to come by, and for good reason. it is brilliant to drive and i would have a hard time getting rid of it for less than $3,900. let me know if you are interested.

i had almost forgot about my posting on here....
since i made it well over six months ago

since then i have actually purchased a beautiful nineteen eighty four 240 diesel wagon
and i purchased it for only two thousand dollars


i may still be in the market for an additional car though....
i really love volvos


if you could answer a few questions for me about your car....

you said the exterior is white - what color is the interior??
is it a manual or automatic transmission??
and can you share any photographs of it with me please??

hey there jon.

the car has a three speed automatic transmission.

the interior is light tan, but as i mentioned, not in great condition. actually, the middle seats, floor, and all the rear space is in decent condition.

there is no rust on any of the underbody. half a dozen small surface spots on the body have been sealed with gray 'primer'. they are not in places where one would expect rust either, i think they must have been from the car being scratched in these locations, and over the years, rusted on the surface. but as i mentioned, they are small, and in my eye, a few gray polka dots are just character marks, haha.

let me know if you need more information. oh, and i replaced all the glow plugs a few months back. also has a new master cylinder.

even though my volvo needs work it is exactly what i want
and i plan to spend my money now on making it perfect
