okay so i have a 2005 xc 90 the windshield wiper arms wont move i know the wiper motor is good bc it moves the arm a little more like a twitch but still how do i fix the prob?????

 

Does either one of them move? When you turn them on, can you move them?

 

arms twitch but when i lift up the hood i see the motor moving perfectly it seems like the arms are trying to move but and also there a cover over the windshield arm motor that hard to take off any help? im sure if tht cover was lifted then i could get a better clue

 

chances are the wiper arm linkages or housing broken. i seem it happened on xc90

 

Does the wiper arms have a bolt on them that holds them in place? Maybe the bolt is loose.
