XC60 Broken Headlight Assembly
My sister has a 2017 XC60 and one of the headlights assemblies was broken. As both were in pretty bad shape she ordered replacement assemblies. However, she ordered halogen instead of bi-xenon which is what is on the vehicle. I learned that when swapping the units and the code was displayed of headlamp malfunction. Since they were installed the vendor will not take them back. Any suggestions on how I can work around this issue without buying another set of assemblies. Thanks!
if the seller won't take them back - you're next recourse would be to sell them on eBay or similar. Now that you know you need the xenons, you can use a dealer web store (plenty out there, I like Tasca Parts) or a Volvo friendly store like FCP, EEuroparts, IPD to find the factory part number then go shopping for the correct part for you year/model. You can also call these stores with your VIN to make sure you find the right part on the odd chance there's a serial number break
