I need to find a used downpipe for my '06 XC 70. My converter was stolen and I want to find another downpipe to extend to match up with the IPD cat back R exhaust that is on order. Our Pick-A-Parts only have info on what vehicles are in inventory and downpipe don't seem to come up

use this link to go to the downpipe part. There is a tab under the image: "what this fits" and press show more. that will show you all the cross over vehicles (verify vehicle selection first to make sure it is the cat for your car)

downpipe is also known as the catalytic converter sometimes. They will just call the whole pipe that.

aftermarket cat-back exhaust are designed to match up with OE downpipes.

 

Thank you, Dyngus1, that was very helpful. Does one need some kind of password to access that site to find similar info? As someone who has to do a lot of salvage yard scavenging, it would make my life much easier not to have to rely on others for this kind of interchange info. As an example, I have heard that certain XC90's used the same exhaust manifold as the 2.5L V70R engines but no specifics were offered.
