Straight pipes on an S80 T6?
Once you stop laughing I'd appreciate any input...Took my 99 S80 T6 to an exhaust shop to see what we had to work with as far as an aftermarket exhaust. I didnt want that "rice" sound like a civic, nor did i want a deep growl like a truck. The mechanic took off the complete exhaust system from the cat back and revved it up...it sounded pretty good. He told me once they put a muffler on it, itd quiet down a lot. He recommended just running dual straight pipes and fabricating their own hangers. Would this cause any damage or loss of power to my car? Its not technically legal where I'm from, but I'll deal with that when I'm due for an inspection next year. Any thoughts are appreciated!

RE: Straight pipes on an S80 T6?
otizzy you should really do this...
1. Do you plan on replacing the two downpipes with a better free flowing version? If so you should do 2.5" to 3" mandrel bent downpipes. You will see the most performance gain by doing this mod. That is for exhaust mods that is.
2. 2.5" mandrel bent catback system with a free flowing straight through design muffler such as a BORLA or Magnaflow. Also get a Hi-Flow CAT as well.
Yeah you'll deal with it when the time comes, well I suggest you stay legal and get a great exhaust note at the same time.
