Default Power seat gremlin

To continue the power seat theme--I drove my wife's 2002 S60 yesterday and moved the seat back. Later, she drove it and moved the seat up. This morning when she unlocked the car and opened the door, she heard and saw the seat moving back to where I had it.

Really it was probably just moving back, because none of us can get the memory function on the seats to work. In any case, a seat that moves by itself is dangerous. Anyone heard of a fix for this?

What makes it dangerous? Have you looked in the owners manual?

seats change depending what key you use. My wifes 2009 does it. the extra key sets for me. I have no idea how to make it reset or if it is in my 2003 s60

Had this happen to me to. did you end up solving it? I also can't seem to shift the seat when the car is on.

The previous posters said the seat adjusts to the position it was in relative to the key that was used. We still haven't figured it out exactly, because we only have one key. If she adjusted it after she got in it, it should not go back to my position I wouldn't think, because she is using the one key. I so rarely drive the car that it hasn't become an issue.

My main fear was that it might start adjusting itself while in motion, which could be dangerous, but I haven't heard yet of that happening. I can adjust it myself when the car is running, so we aren't having your problem.
