The speedometer on my 91 740 is only working for 1 to 2 tenths of a mile then it goes to zero and in a mile or so pops up to 75 and stays till i turn the car off. I have checked the wires and sending unit, they appear to be fine. my codes in #2 slot show lost signal on speedometer. any suggestion on where to start would be appreciated. Hope all is well with everyone.

 

The speedometer stopped working on my 1989 Volvo 740 a few months ago and I took it to a third party Volvo repair shop and it only required a $70 part installed plus labor........I don't have the paperwork here since my daughter uses this car where she lives down south but it was an easy fix with the mechancial part (maybe a speed regulator?)
