not sure if this is the right section but I have an 88 240 dl and the drivers seat is falling apart and where I live in Arizona there arnt any Volvo junkyard near by what other seats will bolt in without modifications

 

Ive been down this road. Only thing the will bolt up to original mounting points is a 240. I bit the bullet and bought some lincoln ls seats. I made a front adapter for the front of the seat and drilled 2 new holes for the back. IF you go aftermarket seats there are seat mounts you can buy. I didnt want aftermarket seats because they a. look to racy b. dont look real comfortable. There is a company called proline that Ive heard good things about. Hope this is some help.

 

it has thanks ill take a look at the junkyard I was wondering if I could see a picture of the Lincoln seats in yours I found some racing type seats on ebay that come with universal brackets for 105 each but am still looking

 

yes, I will get some pictures. I almost went for the racing seats but, a. didnt want it to look like a race car. b. was afraid that they would be uncomfortable. c. Was afraid of safety issues.
