Default Seat question - blower question BOTH

OK, so today I am bopping around our local junkyard. And I see a Volvo 960 right smack dead in the middle of a mud puddle, and it was a big puddle, so I say Hmmm.

I go trouncing through the mud and get to the car Locked...and the puddle gets deeper on the drivers side, key in the drivers door. So, I climb over the car pull the key from the drivers door and open the passenger door...look in and the front seats are slightly cracking...A LOT better condition than mine, and it has a blower motor...

Now my questions, will the front seats work? and will the rear seat work in place of my sedan rear seat? I looked at the mounting and it looks the same... Also, Will the blower motor work? The guy quoted me at 50 for each seat, and 35 for the blower motor...sounds like a good deal if it works, But I don't want to waste my money...anyone?

TY

Not sure about the seats, but I think the blower motor should work. Take your old one out and back to the junkyard to comapre.

Thanks PS, Ya I hope it will, Unfortunately, it is a Pull it yourself junkyard, so when I pull it I have to take it to my car to try it. Same deal with the seats, thus the reason for my q? Seein if anyone knows with 100% certainty...do you know if the back seat, or 2nd row will work in my car? That would be a good answer to the seat leather mismatch between front and rear...

Thanks

The front seat mounting is totally different and also there is alot of problems with the seat cables going bad.
If you want to swap the leather I think the shapes are different as well.

I think the rear seats are different as well.

Not sure about the blower motor one easy way to find out is to look on FCPgroton.com and see if the part #'s match up.

I may give the passenger seat a try...if not it won't be the worst $35 I've ever lost! :-)

Are you going to take the entire seat?
If so it will be a pain to get out. Unlike the 850 the 960's have pins that go into the floor then the seat slides foward and the bolts go in.
If the cable is messed up and the tracks are off then it might be nearly impossible to get the seat out.

You may want to take a battery from like a battery drill or something like that to power the seat to remove it.
