Default Torn leather at the seams?

I have a tear in the seam of my driver side seat. Any ideas on how to repair it? Or at least make it so it doesn't get any worse?

Thanks for the help!

Would that work on the seam?? Seems like it would just come apart again.

Thanks for the reply!

its a thick paste, I saw it on tv, its can be used on leather jackets, leather couches, shoes, car leather seats....So I imagine its strong enough to hold together the seem.

If the seam is torn I'd suggest having a professional have a look at it. If it's more of a crack then there's a site called leatherique.com that makes a crack filler that is pretty good.

Ive tried that leather repair stuff before. Two times in fact. It doesnt work at all. The paste never matches properly and it doest dry well either. Try an upholstery shop. I bet they can fix it for cheap if its small enough.

The wife's '95 850 driver's seat is also coming apart at the seams, I took it to 2 different upholstry shops and they both said that the leather was shrinking back due to lack of conditioning and that is what tore the seem apart not from usage, they also said if they tried to do a restich it wouldn't hold and would just pull through again in short order because the leather was worn and brittle. They suggested I call the dealer and price replacement skins for it, which I did and it was around $400 for the lower cushion and $500 for the seat back plus labor to put them on. A search of junk yards in the area has yet to turn up a seat that is any better than the one I currently have, I wish the after market would step forward with replacement skins instead of having to go to the dealer. My brother had an entire custom leather interior from Katskins put in his Dodge Dakota Quad Cab a couple of years ago for around $2000. Anyone else have any ideas.
