Have you considered other versions of the 5244S like one from a 2003-2007 V70? Check the "volvo modular engine wiki" page to see what changes were done between the S and S6 versions - quite often the long blocks are unchanged and its changes to things like the engine management and accessories which I'd assume you'd be able to reuse from your old engine. What happened that you need to source a long block?
