The B6's are for stock height so the lowering spring you have will not be compatible, am I correct ? Them B6's still super good after all these years of not being used ie No leaks ?. i heard some do cut their stock springs about an inch and a B6's will still be ok. Tell me something.
Cheers
Les

The B6's are dry and don't leak. And they have full compression and rebound. As far as using them on shortened springs - I don't have any experience with that but I'm guessing they'll work, because the B4's I have are the same length.

I thought B6's (stock height) was colored blue and the yellow ones are B8'a for lowering.
But yes... they ahould be good. Let me bargain just a little bit. Can we do 300 shipped to 90723 ?

In the meantime, the Bilstein number on the struts is F4-P36-0292-HO. You've got me wondering because it doesn't say B6 anywhere. I did read somewhere that they changed their numbering system a few years ago but I can't positively say this is a B6. I'm going by these pictures from IPD

If the rears dont have grooves to adjust yhe height, then theyre not B8's. I have B8's on my e28 bimmer and thats how they are. Am not particularly sure of Bilstein's product development and part number changes but the last thing I would like to have in my hands are the B4's which gives the stock ride quality.
i hope you can figure that one out pretty good. Ill do a little research myself too.
kindly revert when you have something.

The rears do not have adjustment grooves, so they must be B6's. If you want B4's those are the other shocks in the original photo.

And like I said the B4's and B6's are the same length. So why wouldn't they fit standard or lowered?

Sorry, I misread the part about B4's. I did measure compression(pressure needed to compress 1 inch) on my homemade scale and the B6's are about twice as much as the B4's.

Great. So the B6's are indeed stiffer than the B4's (which are stock shocks) based on your scale measurements ??
Lets do the B6. Ill send paypal payment over to you. Is 300 shipped ok with you ?

Why'd you take em off your ride, may I ask ?

One more question. These are B6's, not Heavy Duty HD Bilsteins .... right ? Cos theyre miles apart in terms of pwrformance. Just making sure.

Now I'm confused. I thought the B6's we're HD(Heavy Duty)?

If you look at the ad on IPD's website again you'll see that they call them B6 HD struts.
