I worked at O'Hare from March '06 till Febthis year. I used to patronise Patrick's Volvo in Schaumburg, except I did not make much purchases and the only service I had on my 850 was the wheel alignment. The technicians at Patrick are highly skilled & up-to-date.

I used to say "Greetings from Chicagoland", which is now replaced by "Greetings from Narita, Japan"[8D]. I wish I can say "Greetings from wherever the States" soon in the future.

Watch out for snow; be sure to have a good set of snow tyres/all-season tyres.

Sorry I haven't checked out this forum in awhile, so I see you've been to Patrick's Volvo, so you recommend them? I had price quotes from all around the area and they were actually the highest price. How are you liking Japan? My wife and I would like to go there once, among many other worldly travels that we have in mind, if we ever have the funds.

 

i live about 30 minutes from o'hare, a hour from downtown. lol, west side. my brothers in japan/china right now on a college trip for a hole month. im not jealous cause im leaving for cancun in a week

any more chicagoland guys/gals arround? i wouldent mind having a local meet. im kinda tired having to roll with my buddies 10 second audi to these eurotech meets and stuff..

lol, fun part is they do top speed pulls on rt 90 at like 3 am comming home

I live in indiana. right near the border. I work in tinley and have worked in chicago for years before that.

My wife and I used to live in Chicago but moved out to Lombard a little over 3 years ago after we got married. Now we live in Plainfield. One extreme to the other. Still getting used to that.

Are there alot of Volvo people in Chicago? Are there any car clubs with Volvo's around here?

 

I'll second the post about Volvo of Oak Park. Even the service online for order parts is amazing. I have ordered several times and plan to order several more. Shipping is fast and very reasonably priced. I got on this thread with the intention of promoting them because of my experiences, and then I saw there was already a post.
