Need a roadtrip idea (from Chicago)

I'm getting a 1987 740 this week and would like to take it on a road trip this weekend. Can anybody recommend something I could visit that's a day drive from Chicago?

if you can make it a long weekend, for your next road trip try going to Houghon, MI. you're about 10 hours away by speed limit. from Chicago you could either go through MI or WI, both directions will take you about the same.
