Had an 04 S80, then an 06 V70 which met a sad, premature end thanks to some road debris. Just picked up an 06 S40 T5 AWD with only 103k miles and quite a few tastefully done performance mods for a very fair price. It has some cosmetic problems (clear coat is bad on the front bumper, minor surface rust on the trunk edge, some cracked / discolored interior pieces) but is in over all great shape for its age. Already thrilled with this thing and making big plans.
Mods by previous owner:
Larger front mount intercooler
3" downpipe
Full Flowmaster exhaust
Pod style air filter / intake
Hilton Tuning stage 2.5+ tune
IPD boost gauge
It's an angry little thing.
Plans:
Already have the missing foglight trim on order and some interior pieces. Trying to decide if I want to tackle fixing the headliner myself or just pay to have it done (sagging pretty bad). Want to get an aftermarket intake manifold and clean / dress up the engine bay generally. Planning on a full respray or wrap in the next few months, if I go the wrap route I may attempt to DIY.
