1993 Volvo 960 Sedan
Hi All,
New to this site and new to Volvo. Just picked up a daily 960 run around for $700. full service history and all that which makes me happy. 136k miles.
Needs a few things -
*AC is not running but i did find a receipt for a recharge a few years ago. might have a small leak somewhere. Maybe a recharge will do just fine, if the compressor kicks on to allow me.
*Sunroof Motor missing - ordered on ebay
*Suspension needs replaced
*New Tires
*No radio as antenna is gone, might just get a aftermarket setup for cheap with new speakers.
For now i am planning the following as this car has been sitting for a while before i got it:
Seafoam in the gas tank, intake and crank case.
Followed by a oil change, spark change, fuel filter change.
Change air filter, wipers and clean throttle body and MAF sensor.
Brake fluid flush followed by brake job.
Suspension work. front and rear.
And a tranny flush n fill with a new filter.
Interior is a bit cracked and i will be looking into fixing the seat motors. awfully tempted to get seats reupholstered but as this is a just a run around a seat cover might be just fine!
Hopefully this car can do the job it needs to, just 20 or so miles a day and picking up a baby from pre-school!
So hopefully the posts here will help me on my adventure.

Thanks for the vids.
I had to take the ac to the shop since it was completely empty the compressor wouldn't kick on.
i cleaned a super dirty throttle body this weekend and the IAC valve too. replaced the throttle gasket., installed new air filter. added some Auto-rx to a fresh oil change to clean the engine.
Went to gas station last night.....put the seafoam in and started pumping to put 8 gallons of premium in, not sure at what point it happened but looked down and a nice puddle of gas leaking from under the car!!! immediately googled it and seems like it is a common Volvo issue. doesn't look too difficult to fix, just gotta get the right hoses i guess!
might need to look at the pcv system replacement, no issues but precautionary. also from vid i might need to pick up some new wires for the sparks.
only decision i have to make now is to replace the nivomats in the rear or install a conversion kit to regular shocks.....decisions decisions....
