Default 2002 Volvo s40 central electronics module

I need some help. I am trying t find a replacement central electronics module for my 2002 Volvo s40. The old part number is 36012720 (COST $ 950)AND THE NEW PART NUMBER IS 8250505 (COST $ 450). As far as I know these are the only two part numbers for the 2002 Volvo s40 central electronic module.comes.However, when I go to Ebay and put in those numbers nothing

When I put in just 2002 Volvo s40 central electronics module module a lot of things come up,but with different part numbers. The numbers this gives is:

30859699
30896697
30621305

Now Ebay claims the CEM's with these pat numbers fit a 2002 Volvo 40, I have my doubts. The two part numbers at the top are the only ones that I know that guarantee a fit.. What are these other numbers and what Volvo car does it fit?

Also, where is a good website to purchase used Volvo car parts? I just am having trouble finding one. Some website clsim they can use anetwork and find parts thta would be at another scrapyard. So it seems their reach is a lot graeter.

Any decent reliable website will do.

Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,

I really need an answer for this. My 2002 Volvo s40 needs a new central electronic module.Amazingly enough hEbay does not have one. The Volvoo part number
is 36012720 (old number) or 8250505 (new number). There may be other part numbers, I just do not know what they are.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I didn't really overthink the CEM when I replaced one on my 2000 S40. I simply got a used unit from a yard for $65 and plugged in and got my lights back on. The CEM should be the same for 00 to 04 Gen 1s. For what its worth, the FCP web site lists 30896697, 30859699 as the part numbers so I can totally understand your confusion with the fit. I just used car-part.com to find a yard near me with an S40 and the part worked.

This sounds good. I am just confused by all the part numbers. Car-part.com does not use part numbers. At least the website that I found.

They go by picture. This is not accurate. I will try anyway.

Thanks For your input.

I ;just went to a yard that had a Gen 1 S40 listed and asked if they could pull out the CEM for me (it sits right above the hood release). You may also find them on eBay - I haven't looked recently but I'd bet they are out there. There's no programming required to swap out either...

You said you went to the website Car-Parts.com. What did you use when you got there? They only have general categories and use no Volvo car parts number, certainly not something a specific as a central electronic module. They just use pictures. Yes, just pictures!

I need to get a little more specific than that. The Volvo part number is 36012720 or 8250505, old and new respectively. I just do not know any other number. If they fit, then fine. If they do not, then not fine.

I found two yards today in my email inbox and they said they had the part. When I called them they said they had just sold the part today. This is getting very frustrating. I can't find one no mater how hard I look.
