Hi Eric,

Greetings from Yokohama, Japan.

Other than the items you've listed, the only things I can think of at the moment are:

1. Check tyre pressure, wheel balance & alignment.
2. Dump a large bottle of Techron fuel system cleaner (read the directions on the back of the bottle), drive until the tank is near empty and do this twice.
3. Be easy on the gas pedal; avoid rapid acceleration & deceleration.
4. Remove excessive luggage.
5. PCV system cleaning/servicing (if your car has one).
6. Brakes dragging (especially parking brake).

BTW, is your car of manual tranny or auto? If manual, the clutch may be slipping and may need adjustment/replacement. if auto, check on the ATF level & condition; it should be clear red and should not have burnt smell.

Also, what did the tune-up consist of? Platinum spark plugs perform better and they last a long time between replacements.

Or it may be just a natural engine wear. Have the engine compression-tested at a reputable shop.

Also, this is a new member's greetings area, and you will receive better & more accurate answers in the 240 section. As I'm an 850 driver, I am not too privy to 240s.

Good luck,

JPN
