Default 6-month summer storage of XC60 in Florida

I plan to store my 2016 XC60 in an enclosed garage in Florida this coming summer for 6 months.Several questions:

1. Is it safe to use a battery tender for 6 months, or should I just disconnect battery?

2. Any experience about what specifications that the battery tender should have? Has anybody use a battery tender that can charge from the cigarette lighter?

3. Should tires be separated from concrete garage floor by (for example) cardboard?

4. The negative terminal of the battery is not easily accessible, is there a simple way to attach and leave a battery switch for simple connection and disconnection? Is this advisable?

Thank you.

plenty of write ups on line on how to store a car. Personally, I'd just disconnect the battery, put some jack stands under the car to take the weight off the tires, throw in some gas stabilizer and put a cover on the car...
