'97 850 compatible parts to '98 V70
Hello forum members,
I am a newbie here by forum membership and by Volvo ownership as well.
Here is my quandary...
I recently acquired a 1998 V70. Love the heck out of her...
I just as recently was involved in an accident. To make a long story short I have front end damage.
I have a very good friend that has/had a 1987 850. He has had the car for sometime. It was his, then to his daughter. Daughter has new Nissan. Was going to be given to another extended family member. Car suddenly has transmission issues. Friend is not going to fix it.
He is giving it to repair shop to scrap. I, I repeat, I have permission to glean anything and everything I can use on my V70 from his 850...
What is compatible?
My poor baby girl has started going south on me. Is there anything I can salvage off the 850?

If you put the front sheet metal on the 70, it'll fit. You need it all, though. Due to the way the S70 and V70 nose drops down, they eliminated a couple bolt holes along the top of the fender, but that does not hurt anything. you'll need to swap over the hood latch brackets. They are a lot taller on the 850.
Mechanically, the cars are identical, so you could take the starter, alternator, various engine sensors. The brakes and suspension are also identical, but that may not be worth fooling with.

Hello everyone, I am a junior member of Volvo Forum even than I am senior Volvo user (15 years of a 245 and 20 of a Volvo 70) I bought both cars in Germany and I live in Spain.
Now I would need a picture of the small dentification plaque that it is in the town bar VOLVO original (Brink horizontal). After 20 years of use the adhesive plaque disapears and now I need to show it to the TUV/ITV technicians. Could anyone to have this townbar to send a picture of this plaque. I would appreciate, Regads, Hector
