97 850 - Halo Headlight Connection Issue
I was recently in a fender bender that took out my passenger side headlight, which crushed the turn signal bulb, but left the DRL working, and the bright bulb fried.
I left the harnesses connected and continued to drive it with the lights running, until I heard a pop while driving the other morning, and the passenger headlight had gone out.
I bought Spyder Halo headlights as a replacement, connected the harnesses, tapped into the parking light and negative wires for the halo rings, which worked fine for the driver side light, but not for the passenger.
There is is no power to the halo rings from the harness (tested the halos on the battery, they work), so I’m left scratching my head as to whether it’s a bad wire or relay caused by erratic voltage after the accident. Even with all halos disconnected, he passenger side are noticeably dimmer than the driver’s side, yet the brights output about the same.
any advice would be appreciated
