Default ’97 850R shocks

hello
i'm about to purchase a 97 850R, but the inspection report says that her shocks need replacement. any idea of the cost? do i have to go with the nivomats? or will bilstein or sachs be sufficient?
i'm really looking forward to picking up this car- have nothing but excellent experience with volvos. i just need to be sure i dont get hammered on these shocks.
any advice would be great. thanks.

is it a wagon or no? wagons came with nivomat. you can remove them though and go with bilstein, they will last a lot longer and are higher performance
