New to this forum but wanted to shrare my experience with a Volvo Specialist in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. I took my XC90 to get my brakes looked at as I suspected my rotors were ridged to Scandia Automotive, worrying that it would cost me a small fortune to replace the rotors the mechanic and owner Ken told me that he could machine them instead of replacing and save me lots of $$$$$. You don't see that kind of honesty very much nowadays, I will continue to use these guys from now on!

I think I am to far north for you but Pro Vo Vo in Middletown, NJ is great. I have taken my car to him many times when I did not have the time to fix my Volvos myself.

 

i dont know if that is the same guy but back in the late 80"s my brother in law used to have a mechanic for his 240 turbo, the guy was very honest and told us all kinds of ways to savce money . He was in Maple Ridge somewhere on loughedd hwy

 

as we all know that ,we can not trust what a salesman said. i don't know how the other people will do. but i just take a little advice from them.
