Can't stay away from Volvos !
Saw first "modern" Volvo while in the Army in Panama - 1974 240DL. Loved the layout under the hood and the way the car looked and felt. Bought a 1974 navy blue 240 DL when back in the states (one year old then with 100,000 miles). Since then, have had a 1975 245DL orange wagon, a 1976 Seafoam Beige 264 DL, a 1994 740 silver GLE; now have a white 2005 2.5T XC90 (now has 195k miles), and also a 2015.5 S60 T5 2.0 with 15k miles.
Never a major problem with any of them. Recommend Volvos to our kids, but they are Japanese auto and Dodge truck enthusiasts.

Volvo is catching on with young drivers in the UK. They’ve realised that they can buy a good quality car for a reasonably low price. C30’s and V40’s are popular because they can be modified with little effort with some satisfactory results.
