Default Deal Breakers

Nice forum you have here,

Mrs Ohboy has her heart set on a 2007 S60 ASR 74k $14,599
sport package, climate package, basically loaded, 2.5t leather
local used car dealer...no brand affiliation...car originally from Ca. bought at auction in the midwest.

I looked it over pretty good
some scratches on the underside plastic,
some rubs on the bumper plastic
a 5x5 spot where someone rubbed rear qtr pnl against something.. paint still good...slight dent
interior clean

I did not check the tranny oil but the engine oil looked clean.. the filler cap had some baked on oil on the underside of the cap.

Is there anything I should watch out for?
Looks like a good deal, will try to deal it down some.

Thanks in advance

Seems like high miles on it for an 07. I would say ask for a car fax and take it for a drive. If you can also see if there's an independent Volvo shop near there and have them look it over. Check the transmission fluid, as all the other fluids.

Looks like it is going to happen Monday.
Stupid credit unions not open on sat .
Tranny fluid good, brakes good, dent is on plastic not metal...good, no rusting.
Gave us what we wanted for the trade-in.

Pics to follow...

Her name is "Black Beauty"
Volvo calls it black and tan...We call it Guinness.
SO is happy! (I get to drive it too)
Q: How do you keep a black car looking good? A: Lots of work!

Very Nice car! I would slap window tint on that car to save the leather and the interior fromt he sun.... As far as the paint is concerned, I personally would seal the paint with some Liquid Glass...... otherwise, nice car

Thanks for the replies.
Waxes...so many choices.
Polishing...never done it (no wonder my previous black truck had scratches)
Window tints...Maybe, but we get alot of cloudy daze up here in NH.
1st day the SO takes it to work someone keyed the frt lft fender
Looks like the clear is scratched, hard to feel with fingernail.

More thoughts:
Would like to have gone on the Swedish Car Day trip
Signed up for a chance to win a new Volvo http://www.volvocars.com/us/Pages/default.aspx
Need floor mats for a New England winter
The SO still controls the keys, the test drive was my last joy ride so far
C-ya

Just because you have tons of clouds, doesn't mean the effects of the UV rays wont take toll on the leather and or interior! Tint isn't always about the heat, it also stops the UV rays from bleaching the interior....
