Default Delayed engine start

V60 D4 R-Design 2017.
I have a 20 second delay before engine cranks to start.
I have changed the Main an AGM batteries.
If the car has been run recently, restarting is instant.
The auto stop/start at junctions is working fine following changing the main battery.

Has anyone else come across this problem and knows how to fix it?

A garage used their code reader to tell the car it had had new batteries fitted. It told them to leave the car locked for 3 hours. But there is still a delay cranking. It comes up on the dashboard: 'Preparing to start. Please wait', then it cranks and starts immediately.

has anyone else come across this before and know how to fix it?
