Dear all, I'm Diego and I live in Italy in the neighbour of Milan.
I'm owner of a 1996 Volvo 945 since year 2000.
I really love this car (previously I owned a 745 GLE) but two years ago I was in doubt of keeping it for more years or simply replace it with a new car.
I cannot say how or why it happens, but I started to learn a lot of thing about this car and I really enjoyed in repairing the little problems that it has collected in the years (eg. worn bushings, little oil leaks, ...).
I must thank you all of the forum, I didn't write anything before today, but I assure you I'm an active reader (I'm an active writer on volvoclub.it and a passive reader on all major english forums like this one or turbobricks or matthewsvolvosite just to say a name)
Recently I've replaced on my own the steering rack and since I didn't find nobody that make this job on a Volvo 740/940 I would like to write an article and post here to share some some photos and a description of the procedure. I believe this forum could be the right place where to post.

Below you cand find a few photos of my car, as you can seen, it is in excellent conditions, despite of the age.
Oh, I was missing the most important thing: my 945's name is Boba, this name was given to her by my doughter in 2012!
Now she is only Boba for me and all my family.
