Greetings from V70R owner in Canada
Hello everyone,
Guess I will do the proper thing and introduce myself. I am the happy owner of a 1998 V70R AWD. My first Volvo was a 1998 S70 T5 SE - what a blast that was... we upgrade from a 55HP Geo Metro to a 240HP Volvo. The icing on the cake? That summer the local police force was on strike... so suffice it to say we managed to get plenty of revs out of that T5.
It was a sad day when she went back to the dealer after her lease... Several months later, we spotted the V70R and got her home. While obviously not quite as fast (extra weight + AWD) the overall versatility and performance are superb.
Now if only I can get the 2004 V70R. ;-)

Just turned in a '99 V70R. It was really a nice car, but wife wanted one of the new V70Rs, so we've been driving around in one of those now for about 2 months.

Really is different than the last car. 300HP makes quick work of the added weight and car is really good out on the road.

Welcome to the group.
