Default Hello

Just got my first volvo. It's great, except the car jerks a bit when it shifts (it's a 94 940 auto). Wanted to know if tha'ts common in 940's or is it just mine.

Appreciate all the knowledge that i can gather from you experts.

Thanks

Default RE: Hello

A 10 year old car may tend to do that after being driven hard.

That is pretty much normal for the age.Check the trans fluid level and see if it is burnt. You may want to have it replaced. That may not help the shifting issue. Also if your car is non turbo and someone replaced the trans before and put a turbo trans in it will shift like that because the turbo trans is more aggresive.
