Hello, Volvo lovers. Just checking in. Now on my fifth Volvo, the latest a 740 wagon to replace my 245 Wagon, which replaced a 245 diesel wagon. I have owned Mercedes 300TDs, 300SD s and other diesel cars, but prefer Volvos hands down to any Mercedes. The 740 wagon (1992) offers the combination of creature comfort, reliability and easy maintenance that I loved in the 245s. In fact, under the hood, except for the big fuel pump and sophisticated injection system, the engine has that familiar look.
