Its been years since I owned a Volvo (a 1976 244 which I bought used in 1985), but just bought me a 2004 XC90 and am amazed at its amenities. It was one of two cars that my wife and I could lay down in the back to car camp (the other was a Nissan Murano - horrible roll and pitch).

Congrats! Yrs back bought my 98 xc70 for similar reasons--great space for a wagon that doesn't really look that big. With three kids the 3rd row seats were a thing. Had a 08 toyo highlander which actually seemed to have less usuable space. My second volvo also, had a s60 t5 02/03 can't remember which. I've owned too many cars! But volvos are special for me. I'll never forget the MB dealer telling me that volvos have the best seats in the industry, and it is true. The MB's and jags weren't quite as comfortable. It continues to be an unique niche in the car market. Enjoy it!
