Default Hello from a newby to Volvo cars

Hi everybody. New member here, just got a new (to me) 2004 S60 2.5T with 61kmiles on it. It looks and drives like brand new. It will be used as a third car and will be driven mostly by me. It replaces a 2000 BMW 323i that my daughter crashed a week ago, she hydroplaned on the highway. Thanks good she is ok but the car was totaled. She is now driving my 2005 Honda Accord and I will be driving the Volvo. This is my first Volvo. I have had few bimmers, 318, X5 and 323 and I know the BMW mechanic pretty well but know nothing about the 5cyls turbo Volvo engine. I am a DIY guy and do most of the maintenance and plus on my cars and motorbikes myself. I have been a pretty strong contributor to the X5 forum for the last 5 years and I am looking forward to learn about my s60 from this forum. Please let me know what I should pay particular attention, what may break soon. Generally speaking what are the weaknesses of the s60. I have the carfax and the car had only one owner before me and was services by Volvo since new. The car drives really good but here are few things I have already noticed: Break pedal is a little soft, and the turning radius is not good to say the least. I already have some immediate mods in mind like improving the sound system, integrate my iPhone, etc... and mainly learn as much as I can about this car.
Cannot wait for all of these.
Alain

Welcome to the forum. Glad to hear she is OK. You'll love your S60. Turning radius is a known complaint. Basically you have to live with it. It doesn't bother me that much.
