Default Hello from Ohio

New member here. As my pseduonum implies, I am an Audi defector. Have owned an A4 for the past 7 years, and a few Porsches prior to that. I have become tired of being pummeled with high maintenance costs. I MUST have a European car in my driveway, and Volvo seemed like the way to go. I have several friends with Volvo Wagons, and they have GREAT success with these cars, even with high mileage. When they do have problems, they usually have no problem fixing it themselves.

So, I just went out and bought a Red 1998 V70 Turbo Wagon. Immaculate condition for under $3000. The thing runs and rides like a dream. I am like a kid on Christmas right now.

It needs a few small fixes, but it helped me talk the price way down. Can't wait to dive into it. I will be reading this forum a lot. And, asking lots of questions.

Welcome to the forum.

Congrats on your Volvo. Volvos do have their own failure patterns just as any vehicle manufacturers. However, if taken car of, Volvos can outlast Japanese makes.

My 1st & 2nd replies in the following thread is for 850, but some items may apply to yours as they are somewhat similar models:

Good luck,
