Well, i joined actually maybe 3 months back but havent really gotten around to being on here. Just wanted to introduce myself. I have an 89 Volvo 240 gl which i got from a friend for only 100 bucks. It has been run alot, it had 244000 miles when i got it, but the things broken so it probably has around 270k? I got it a year and a half ago. I hope to restore although i dont know much about cars but i do know i love my car. So far ive jus done little necessary things. I replaced the o2 sensor and the check engilne light is still on so its probably the egr? I also recently put in a new cat. The sensor ran me 100 because a friend put it in and the cat 200 because they had to put in the o2 bung otherwise it wouldve came out to 175. Anyways though, just thought id introduce myself. Any help/suggestions on what to do with my baby would be greatly welcomed.
Im not in a great rush to finiish it, my timeline is around 3 years. I want to have it done by the time my brothers start driving so they can have it.
