Hello
I am new here. Let me indruduce myself shortly. I am in Melbourne/Australia.
I have 264 GL 1975, 265GLE 1980 and have just recently bought 850 GLT 1992 (3?).
It is kind of challange to be Volvo fan in Australia, as most of ozis don't respect eny other cars than Holden (Opel) or Ford...they especially don't respect Volvo. Poor bastards - they don't even know what they loose...
My 264GL looks like if it was 5 years old, its excellent concerning its age but it has older generation 2.7 V6 engine. I drive this car every day and I like it very much. My 265GLE is not registered as its mechanically poor and rusty but it has excellent 2.9 V6 engine which was given overhaul only couple of years ago and this engine is excellent - I have not been using this car for round 1.5 year but I can still remember that this engine was pulling heavy 265GLE (wagon) like creazy ! This car made easily 150-160 km/h. I am veru mych interested to fit 2.9V6 from 265GLE into my beautiful 264GL...but I don't know if this is realtively easy operation or some tricky nightmare ??? Every info about it will be very welcome. I want to do it by myself.
I have another questions and dilemmas about 850 GLT, but meybe next time...

Welcome from the same time zone (even if it's off, it should be close enough).
As for technical questions, I would suggest either the 260 forum or General Volvo Chat.
