Default Hi from Newcastle on Tyne

I've just recently purchased an s60 d5 se - black and looks lush, well chuffed with my volvo (lovingly called Vera!), full volvo service but sadly I wont be continuing with that at the prices that Volvo charge!!!

The only problem I have with her is her hu-850 stereo is showing cd error! When I tried to eject like someone suggested it was saying that it was trying to eject cd 6, so I defo know that there's a cd jammed in it - damn! I'm hoping my local garage will be able to get it out, if not will have to seek alternative music cos I aint paying volvo £550 for an exchange !

The last volvo I owned was a 240dl! Boxy but nice lol! She was built like a tank and was the only car I've owned that managed to get through the snow ok!! Sadly she was scrapped in the end but loved that car, felt reet safe in her and very comfy. Hence why I went for another volvo - comfort is amazing, no more bad backs and lovely warm bums thanks to the winter pack lol!

I shall do a search on here for any ideas regarding the cd, but if anyone has any suggestions about removal, alternative music suggestions or putting in another stereo thenI would be well chuffed

Hello mate, welcome to the forum.

The S60s are very nice machines indeed.

I am not sure as to how you go about replacing the CD changer but post a thread in the S60 forum so you would receive replies from knowledgeable members soon. JKS2 is one of the moderators and owns an S60 so you may want to ask his opinions.

Best of luck to you & cheers,

JPN

Welcome to the forum.

It is good to see near neighbours joining. I've lived in Durham for 36 years but was raised at Whickham, so I am a Geordie.
We could always taak wor language and confuse everybody.

Bill.

Welcome. Unfortunately I cannot help with your CD problem as my S60 has the less fancy HU613 which has only a single CD.
